Table 1 shows the notation used in this book for numbers. Decimal, scientific, and floating-point notation are used where appropriate.
The units of digital (binary) capacity are as shown in Table 3. The corresponding units of throughput are, for example, KB/s, MB/s, GB/s, and TB/s.
This book is focused on the subject of Oracle performance firefighting. But some performance firefighting skills require a separate book or technical paper to adequately cover the topic.
