Thank you. ------------------------------- * Cache buffers chains (CBCs) are used to quickly determine if an Oracle block resides in the buffer cache. * The least recently used (LRU) lists are used to keep popular buffers in the cache and to find free buffers. It is important to understand that the buffer headers, not the actual buffers, make up these three lists. I will provide details about these lists later in this chapter.
