The greater the number of CPU cores, the flatter the response-time curve and the steeper the elbow of the curve. 3 Oracle does not guaratentee all system calls are instrumented. As a result, there can be missing time. Also, Oracle CPU consumption includes Oracle processes waiting for CPU and also queuing for CPU.
